It’s not plastic! Your Lush products are packaged in eco-pop chips, a potato starch-based packing material which biodegrades quickly in water and soil.

Solid products are shipped naked, liquids and creams in minimal black pot packaging. Made from 100% recycled plastic, we ask you to return your black pots to store in order to close the loop and keep the Lush plastic supply completely self-sufficient and out of landfill.

Our dedicated teams want to ensure you receive your products as soon as possible, however during sale periods your order might take longer to be delivered and fall outside of our regular lead times. The exact delivery date will be confirmed when your order has been dispatched and tracking information is available but delivery times may be affected by stock availability, courier availability, and courier delivery area. We will send you an email when your order has been dispatched.

Brexit: How does this affect my orders?

Following the UK’s departure from the EU, all international orders placed from the UK website will be subject to customs duties and taxes in the country of destination.

Here are some answers to common questions we’ve received. Please reach out to Customer Care if you have any further queries.

Q: What are the charges for the different countries?

Mostly, customs and import duties are charged once a parcel arrives at its delivery destination. Handling fees and taxes might be charged as your order passed through customs. These charges must be paid by the parcel recipient and are out of our control. As a result, we are unable to tell you what the charge may be because customs policies and import duties vary across countries.  Lush recommends contacting your local customs office, who will be able to advise you of current charges before you place your order.

Q: Do the charges change with the value and/or weight of the parcel?

Q: Can customers pre pay their charges and how do they do it?

Lush is unable to pay charges on the parcel recipient's behalf. Import duties and taxes are payable to local customs authorities on arrival at the delivery address.

Q: Do all customers get charged for orders or would it be random?

Import duties and taxes are payable on all orders delivered outside of the UK.

Q: When charged UK VAT on your order, are you still charged customs upon arrival and would this then mean customers have to pay VAT twice?

For orders delivered outside the UK, UK VAT will not be chargeable, although the total cost of your order will remain unchanged.

Q: Will additional documentation be required?

Lush will supply all required documentation to the carrier.

Q: Are delivery timeframes going to be affected?

Whilst we do not anticipate any delays, parcels may be subject to customs checks. Please see the international section of our delivery article below.

International Delivery:

For orders under 1.8kg, you will have the option of Royal Mail. Your parcel will be delivered by your local postal service. For orders over 1.8kg, see the International Courier options below. International orders sent with Royal Mail are not tracked.

International Courier:

Update: 17th April 2020 Due to the impact of Covid-19, our international courier costs to countries outside Europe have been increased. This is now reflected in our shipping costs. Due to both the measures we have put in place to make sure we are keeping staff as safe as possible and current transport delays to international deliveries, orders are likely to take three weeks or more to reach you.

If your order weighs over 1.8kg, we will send your parcel via a courier, which will require a signature upon delivery. You can also select a courier for orders under 1.8kg, if you prefer.
